April Walker
April is a veterinary assistant here at the Berkeley Veterinary Center. She helps out in just about everything from monitoring surgical patients, scheduling appointments to loving on all the family pets that visit us.
April is a huge animal lover. She grew up with two parrots and five cats. Animals have always been a part of her life from owning, pet sitting to sponsoring and adopting. When April is not at Berkeley Veterinary Center you can find her working at Petco of Howell, assisting customers and their pets.
April is a proud parent of one mouse, one cat, ten lizards, four toads, and three frogs. She has a strong interest in reptiles and enjoys educating others about them. She also enjoy collecting Monster Movies, working on cars with her father, and hanging out with her sister.
April graduated from Central Regional High School in 2002. She then went on to earn her associates degree in Print Broadcast Journalism. She is now following her passion for helping animals here at Berkeley Veterinary Center.
Brittany Heimburger
Brittany graduated Ocean County College in 2009 and would like to be a professional artist one day. Brittany has always had an enthusiastic passion for art, photography and collecting Japanese Novelties.
Working at Berkeley Veterinary Center, Brittany has grown a new passion of helping animals. She enjoys doing this with the help of her older sister, April.
At home, Brittany has 4 cats: Chipp, Hershey, Lil Ben and Kitt-Kat.
Diana Lynn Brand, CVT, MT A.S.C.P.
Diana grew up in Brick, New Jersey. After graduating from high school in 1987 she became a licensed hairdresser. She started working as a veterinary technician in 1989. In 1990 she joined the staff of a veterinary hospital where Drs. Tony and Pat were employed and has worked along side them since.
Diana also works at Ocean Medical Center and Jersey Shore University Medical Center as a medical technologist and is responsible for analyzing blood and other laboratory samples. She has earned an Associates of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology, a Certificate in Histotechnology, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Clinical Laboratory Science.
Diana's real passion is to work with animals though and to that end she studied for and passed the national veterinary technology exam in 2004 and is now a Certified Veterinary Technician!! Diana is also a Certified Animal Cruelity Investigator and a Certified Animal Control Officer.
Diana shares her home w/one dog, several cats and even a Ball Python. In her spare time Diana enjoys reading, travel and photography.
Cambra Horacek
Cambra began working at the Berkeley Veterinary Center in September of 2008 with only the love for animals as her only experience. She is currently taking classes part time towards a degree in Animal Science. Her goal is to increase her knowledge in animal behavior and veterinary science.
In her free time Cambra enjoys the beach, books, music, snowboarding and helping with the Volunteer Auxiliary which places animals in forever loving homes.
Rose Burke
Rose received her Bachelor?s degree in Marketing and Management with a minor in photography from Monmouth University in 2004 and worked as a restaurant manager for 5 years before coming to Berkeley Vet as a veterinary assistant in 2010. Rose has always had a strong passion for animals and hopes to someday combine her love of the veterinary field with her educational background in marketing. Rose loves spending as much time as possible with her Shepherd Mix, Zoey and her leopard gecko, Reefie. She also enjoys gardening, yoga, photography and archery.
Lexi Williams
Lexi is a Veterinary Assistant here at Berkeley Veterinary Center. She was certified from Animal Behavior College, an online school that specializes in Vet. Assistant Training. She grew up with a Golden Retriever named Casey and a Border Collie called Sparkey. Lexi is very passionate towards animals and is working towards adopting a puppy in the near future.
Lexi did her internship here at Berkeley Veterinary Center and recently joined the staff at the beginning of 2011. She recently moved here from Maryland and is enjoying settling in New Jersey. In her spare time Lexi enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and volunteering at local animal shelters.
