AAHA Standards

We understand that your pet holds an important place in your life and your heart. We respect and honor that special bond by providing the best possible care for your pet. As part of that goal, we have chosen to be accredited by AAHA and are among the elite 15% of veterinary practices throughout the United States and Canada that have made this voluntary commitment to excellence.

Being accredited means our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service. AAHA’s standards cover every aspect of our hospital to assure your satisfaction with the level of care both you and your pet receives.

We are proud of this honor, as it keeps us on the leading edge of veterinary medicine and continuous improvement. These are keys to delivering the quality and range of services you expect and deserve for your pet.

"I started using Berkeley for my dog’s allergy problems. We see Dr. Tony and he is wonderful, and well-educated. He went over several options of testing and treatments and is honest and open with all his suggestions. Callie’s allergies have never been better. Recently, we met Dr. Alyssa due to a last minute non-allergy related appointment, and I was equally impressed with her knowledge and care. All the tech are kind and patient. I would happily recommend Berkeley Vet.” —Allen Alfano
"I just recently went to Berkeley Vet Center to take my cat Precious for a check-up. Our technician Diana Brand was extremely helpful and easy to talk to during our visit. She made Precious feel comfortable and calmed her down when she got a little fussy. The doctor was also very nice and took care of my Precious. They go over everything regarding prices so there were no surprises and I found the exam and vaccines to be reasonably priced. I will definitely bring Precious again in the near future! —Victoria T.
"Dr. Alyssa and all the staff are the absolute best! Knowledgeable, professional, kind, and considerate. When I had to put my 17-year-old dachshund down, I relied on their compassion and wisdom to make the process much easier. They explained everything to me so that I knew what to expect. I would highly recommend Berkeley Veterinary Center!” —Jean Spector
"I really cannot find the words to explain how amazing Dr. Tony and his staff are! My baby had a sock obstructing her small intestines and was at risk for major complications. They performed major surgery and continued to care and comfort my baby for days after. If I chose to go to an overnight hospital, my girl would have been left in a cage with an IV and no snuggling or attention. My heart is so touched, I get choked up thinking about Dr. Tony and staff!” —Colleen Collichio
"I took my 12-year-old cat to Berkeley Veterinary Center. I was immediately impressed by the clean and friendly atmosphere. I was greeted right away and made to feel welcome. I am very happy to have found Dr. Tony and his caring staff.” —Linda C.
"Dr. Tony and staff greet us with warmth and friendship. My 3 dogs love them, evidenced by the big kisses they give to the staff. Dr. Tony takes time to examine and explain my concerns. I am very pleased to know this excellent group. If you want caring, compassionate vets and staff you MUST go to them.” —Cathy S.
"Overall experience was like no other…warm, friendly, and personable, yet professional and informative. Pricing was comparable to past veterinary experiences, and by no means unreasonable. Office and exam room were clean, fresh, and neat. Berkeley Veterinary Center may have a customer for life!” —Michael P.
