Meet the Veterinarians & Staff at Berkeley Veterinary Center
Anthony DiAngelis, DVM
Dr. Tony owns and operates Berkeley Veterinary Center. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and has over 25 years of veterinary experience. Although he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Tony has special interests in the fields of internal medicine, feline medicine and dermatology.
When not at Berkeley Veterinary Center, Dr. Tony enjoys spending time with his family and their menagerie of pets, which includes a dog, 4 cats, two lizards, fish and a bird.
Linda Dziedzic, DVM, MS
Dr. Linda has been a relief veterinarian at Berkeley Veterinary Center since 2009. She received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University. After graduation, she completed a rigorous, year-long, rotating medical and surgical internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ. Dr. Linda earned an M.S. degree in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University and taught high school biology and environmental science for four years in Willoughby, Ohio.
A New Jersey native originally from River Vale in Bergen County, Dr. Linda now lives in Manchester. Her husband, Bernie, is a certified veterinary technician with a special interest in anesthesia. Together they have four dogs (Tess, Casey, Foxy, and Franklin) and two cats (Milo and Kink).
Dr. Linda especially enjoys emergency medicine, dentistry, and surgery. In her free time she can be found kayaking with her husband down Cedar Creek or scuba diving in the tropics photographing nature above and below water. She also enjoys home remodeling, landscaping, gardening, and yoga.
Brittany Heimburger, Staff Support
Brittany has worked at Berkeley Veterinary Center since November of 2006 with her sister, April. She keeps Berkeley sparkling clean, organized, and helps out the assistants and technicians as needed. She studied liberal arts at Ocean County Community College and has an amazing artistic ability which she puts to good use occasionally here at Berkeley Vet.
Brittany has a lot of love for her three senior cats: Hershey, Kit-Kat, and Lil Ben. Brittany looks forward to continuing her education and involving herself more in the art field especially in portrait commissions. Brittany's interests include: Drawing/painting, cosplay, video games, and collecting figurines.
Diana Lynn Brand, Certified Veterinary Technician, CVT, MT A.S.C.P.
Diana got her start in the veterinary field in 1989 working at Sea Girt Animal Hospital. From 1990 until 2007 she worked at Bricktown Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Tony and Dr. Pat before joining them in their newly opened practice at Berkeley Veterinary Center in 2007. Diana obtained her Veterinary Technician Certification in 2004. She is also a Certified Animal Control Officer and a Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator. She received her AAS Medical Technician and Certificate in Histotechnology from Ocean County College and her BAS Clinical Laboratory Scientist from Thomas Edison State College.
Diana Shares her home with her Dog, Cecil, her 8 cats: Coco Puff, Dexter, Diablo, George, Julian, Lokey, Snorkus, and Trouble, and her Ball Python, Lumpy.
When she is not at Berkeley Veterinary Center, Diana works as a Medical Technologist at Ocean Medical Center and Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Diana also enjoys Photography, Travel, and Reading.
Cambra Horacek, Veterinary Assistant
Cambra joined the team at Berkeley Veterinary Center in September of 2008. She is currently attending Ocean County College and working towards her nursing degree. Cambra has also taken several courses in Veterinary Technology via AAHA Accredited College.
Cambra has always shared a special connection with animals and has fostered several kittens for the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters. In addition to working at Berkeley Veterinary Center, Cambra also works part-time as a technician at Jersey Shore Emergency Services in Lakewood, NJ. Bodie, Cambra's 2-year old adorable and curious cat was actually rescued at just a few days old by one of our clients and raised by Cambra with assistance from the rest of the Berkeley staff.
When Cambra's not working, she spends her time spoiling Bodie, horseback riding, fishing, relaxing at the beach, camping, reading a good book, listening to music, or jogging.
Rose Burke, Veterinary Assistant
Rose graduated from Monmouth University in 2004 with her Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing and a Minor in Photography. She worked as a corporate restaurant manager and freelance marketer for 6 years before fate and a deep love for animals brought her to Berkeley Veterinary Center.
Rose, originally from Phillipsburg NJ, moved permanently to the Jersey Shore after graduating from college and now lives in Barnegat with her family and their 3-year old energetic and agile German Shepherd Mix, Zoey.
While working at Berkeley Vet, Rose continues her work in the marketing field specializing in Social Media Marketing and has her hands in several projects that combine her professional interest in marketing with her personal love for animals and the people who love them.
In her free time, Rose enjoys relaxing on the beach, instructing Zumba classes, yoga, gardening, or snuggling with Zoey.
Taylor Stepnosky, Veterinary Assistant
Taylor graduated from Ocean County College with an associate's degree in liberal arts and is now currently enrolled in Penn Foster's veterinary technician program. Taylor joined the team in December of 2013. She is excited to start her career in the veterinary field and is very interested in one day working with all things big and small as a zoo technician. Taylor really enjoys meeting new people and loving on their furry family members and her bubbly personality is a perfect fit for Berkeley Veterinary Center.
Gatsby, her chihuhua mix, loves spending his day hanging out with mom at work and her two cats, Mystery and Autumn can't wait until she comes home. Taylor loves going to the beach, fishing and crabbing, traveling, going to the park, and visiting the zoo.
Elizabeth Fletcher, Veterinary Assistant
Elizabeth joined the team at Berkeley Veterinary Center in January of 2014. Elizabeth has degrees in both Earth Science and Marine Science. She grew up in South Brunswick, NJ. She then moved to San Diego, California where she spent 5 years working for the Navy Marine Mammal Program training, researching and vet teching for dolphins and sea lions. The long distance from family brought Elizabeth and her husband back to New Jersey where she made the switch from marine mammals to small animals.
Elizabeth and her husband share their home with a 16 ½ year old Siberian Husky named Jera and an Australian White's Tree frog named Parker. When Elizabeth is not working, you can most likely find her outside stand up paddleboarding, surfing, bike riding, swimming at the beach, running, or being active in some way.
Amanda Bourne, Veterinary Assistant
Amanda has been with us at Berkeley Veterinary Center since July of 2015. She previously worked as a receptionist at a busy veterinary hospital. Working in the veterinary industry made Amanda realize that she was very interested in becoming a veterinary technician and she would like to further her education and work toward her veterinary technician certification. Her dream would be to open or co-run and exotics rescue.
She received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University in 2013. Amanda has a papillon named Vixen and two cats named Tiberius and Pickles. She is also a writer/editor for an alternative music website and a singer and songwriter. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, the beach, and watching Spongebob with her cat, Vixen (It's her favorite).
Gina Wersits Abel, Client Care Specialist
Gina started at Berkeley Vet in March of 2013 as our resident Client Care Specialist. She graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with her Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice.
Gina has two dogs: Carter a handsome 4-year old mix and recent wedding gift, Summer, her playful 1-year old golden retriever. In June of 2012, Gina married and moved to Bayville from Woodbury, NJ. Gina has seen first-hand the joy that pets can bring to those who endure less than favorable circumstances and is currently working on training Summer to become a certified therapy dog where she will visit oncology wards in the hopes of brightening the patients' days and giving back to her community.
Gina's future ambition is to work towards becoming a Veterinarian Technician. In her down time, you can find Gina hiking with the pups at Double Trouble or Island Beach State parks. She also enjoys reading and baking.
