Expert Care for Your Pet's Serious Medical Condition

A canine patient in the arms of one of our vets

Internal medicine is a medical specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis, management, and non-surgical treatment of unusual or serious diseases. The veterinarians at Berkeley Veterinary Center are trained to diagnose and treat your pet with the best medical technology and treatment plans available.

Internal medicine cases involving disorders affecting endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematologic, respiratory, and urinary systems. Some of the safe, effective procedures we perform to reach a diagnosis include aspirates, biopsies, biochemical and cytological blood evaluation, microbiological culture, and radiographs, each depending on the particular medical condition of the pet.

We are skilled in providing more advanced care for pets with serious diseases. Diabetic stabilization, intravenous fluid therapy, and non-invasive biopsy procedures are all possible at Berkeley Veterinary Center.

In addition to our own skilled veterinarians, we also work closely with veterinary specialists in the area who can lend their expertise to more complex cases.

“I started using Berkeley for my dog's allergy problems. We see Dr. Tony and he is wonderful, and well-educated. He went over several options of testing and treatments and is honest and open with all his suggestions. Callie's allergies have never been better. Recently, we met Dr. Alyssa due to a last minute non-allergy related appointment, and I was equally impressed with her knowledge and care. All the tech are kind and patient. I would happily recommend Berkeley Vet.”
