Excellence in Veterinary Surgery for Bayville NJ Pets

A surgical procedure being performed on one of our patients

The skilled veterinarians at Berkeley Veterinary Center take every precaution during surgical procedures, whether it's an elective spay or neuter or a more advanced operation. We perform a wide variety of surgeries at our facility, always with the utmost care and safety protocols.

All pets undergoing surgery at our veterinary hospital receive the following precautions and surgical care:

  • Pre-anesthetic blood work
  • Pre-operative sedatives to alleviate anxiety
  • IV catheter and operative fluids
  • Electronic monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm, respiratory rate, body temperature, carbon dioxide, and oxygen levels
  • Monitoring by a dedicated nurse anesthetist
  • Pain medication
  • Heated post-operative units and blankets for comfort

Your pet is never alone before, during, or after surgery. We ensure that someone from our staff is always with your pet so that he or she can be carefully monitored and kept as calm and comfortable as possible every step of the way.

“Dr. Alyssa and all the staff are the absolute best! Knowledgeable, professional, kind, and considerate. When I had to put my 17-year-old dachshund down, I relied on their compassion and wisdom to make the process much easier. They explained everything to me so that I knew what to expect. I would highly recommend Berkeley Veterinary Center!”
